Learn the RIB Method
We've split our former two-day course into two separate one-day events, so you can choose the pace that suits you best.
The introduction to the RIB method begins with two engaging lectures by Maria Terese and Håvard Engell, where they share fascinating insights into how the body works and what it takes to become a better rider. After that, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Finnskogtoppen Spa and Wellness Hotel, before moving into the gym for a practical demonstration of training without a horse. The day ends at Kalneset with a live demonstration featuring horse and rider.

RIB method

RIDER ANALYSIS
*To participate in the Rider Analysis Course, you must have completed a RIB Basic Course. Please note that there are a limited number of spots available for this day.

In this course, you’ll receive an analysis of your own position, learn how to assess others, and get the opportunity to train your eye on a variety of individuals. We’ll then enjoy lunch at Finnskogtoppen Spa and Wellness Hotel, followed by another session in the gym focused on rider analysis. This day will provide you with the theoretical framework you need to analyze other riders effectively.

Individual Analysis
In this course, all participants will receive a rider analysis conducted by Maria Terese Engell.

Learn to analyze
Gain the tools and learn the framework you need to carry out rider analyses on others.

Train your eyes
Train your eye by reviewing all course participants, allowing you to observe a variety of different riders.

Become a better rider with the RIB Method
Â
Maria Terese Engell received international recognition for her doctoral research on the interaction between horse and rider. She has held key roles as an equine veterinarian at Bjerke Equine Veterinary Clinic, NMBU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
Today, she runs her own clinic in Norway and works through Rider In Balance to promote health, well-being, and performance in both horses and riders. Maria Terese has worked with top athletes across all disciplines, providing invaluable insights into improving riding technique and optimizing horse-rider partnerships.
